I haven't tested Parallels as heavily. The main thing is to install the Windows version of Wacom's drivers in the Windows virtual machine. Then, in the USB menu, connect the Wacom tablet to windows. You'll be able to use the Wacom tablet in Windows only when it's connected to the Windows guest, so keep a mac mouse handy as well.

For working on second life skins I use mostly Photoshop and sometimes Modo. Since Second Life can't really use ZB's displacements, I haven't even considered using ZB for clothing work. For doing clothing, I would look at some of the effects that can be achieved with tiling patterns such as what Imagesynth (Luxology) or Eye Candy (Alien Skin) can do in 2D with Photoshop.

I haven't used zbrush recently, but I'm primarily using modo for both painting and modeling - especially painting and making clothing and skins for Second Life. You mentioned that modo is only missing zbrush's 2d features in the painting arena... would those be good for creating clothing?
